Did Black Lives Matter Activists Get Trolled by ‘White Lives Matter’ Rally?

No one showed up to a Facebook event called ‘White Lives Matter’, a rally that was supposed to take place at the San Bernardino courthouse. Black Lives Matter activists organized a counter protest, but no one from the White Lives Matter rally showed up. An hour and a half later, the Black Lives Matter activists declared victory:

On Thursday, a White Lives Matter rally in San Bernardino Saturday was announced on Facebook. Inland Empire Black Lives Matters activists heard about the planned protest and organized a counterprotest…

By 9 a.m., about 30 Black Lives Matter protestors had occupied a portion of the lawn outside the courthouse, in what they expected to be where or near the planned White Lives Matter rally was to be held, which was also scheduled to begin Saturday morning.

Those who gathered played anti-fascist protest songs over a megaphone and waved signs reading “Inland Empire resists fascism” and “Dump Trump – stop hate.” But what they didn’t have was a rally to counter-protest.
